The Shenzhen Natural History Museum project is located in the Yanzi Lake area of Pingshan District, north of Shaxin Road and east of Salon Road. The area gathers characteristic natural ecological elements such as Yanzi Ridge, Pingshan River, wetlands, and forests.

The project has a land area of approximately 42000 square meters and a building area of approximately 105000 square meters. After its completion, the museum will be the first comprehensive natural museum in South China, positioned as a "National Regional Natural Museum".
